Family Food Support
Monthly food boxes or approved vouchers for verified vulnerable households, using defined eligibility, household-size and repeat-support rules.
Food security with dignity — providing structured, accountable food support to vulnerable households while building pathways toward stability and self-reliance.

Household food pressure can be sudden or recurring. Widowhood, unemployment, disability, old age, medical costs and other crises can leave a family unable to meet basic food needs even when the need is temporary.
Rehoboth Food Bank is designed as a year-round humanitarian programme of Rehoboth Potters Peoples Charity Foundation. It combines verified food assistance with safe stock management, documented distribution and appropriate referral into other support pathways.
Year One is designed around Abuja and the Federal Capital Territory. Expansion to other Nigerian communities will depend on verified need, partner funding and demonstrated operating capacity.
The Food Bank formalises and strengthens an earlier community-sharing model in which families and supporters contributed food, clothing and usable pre-owned goods for free redistribution. Our Impact archive includes video documentation from past Abuja CHOP FOR FREE / SHOP FOR FREE activities. The historic model was largely in-kind rather than formal corporate cash sponsorship.
These are planning targets and will be adjusted to actual funding, market prices, verified need and signed partner agreements.
Monthly food boxes or approved vouchers for verified vulnerable households, using defined eligibility, household-size and repeat-support rules.
Quarterly outreach distributions in selected communities, coordinated with credible local referral partners and approved beneficiary lists.
Enhanced support for households with elderly persons, children, pregnant women or other nutrition-sensitive needs where appropriate.
Partnerships with manufacturers, retailers, farms, distributors and corporate donors for safe, traceable food and essential-item donations.
Where suitable, recurring beneficiaries may be referred into skills, livelihoods, education, health or other Foundation support pathways.
Receiving checks, stock records, expiry management, beneficiary documentation, consent-conscious evidence and post-distribution reconciliation.
Eligibility is based on verified vulnerability rather than personal influence. Priority may include widows, low-income households, elderly persons without adequate support, persons living with disabilities, crisis-affected families and households referred by credible community or service partners.
Beneficiary information is collected only for programme administration, safeguarding, accountability and agreed reporting.
Purchase or receive approved food and essential items from vetted suppliers and donors.
Check packaging, labels, quantities, condition and expiry dates before acceptance.
Use clean, dry, controlled storage with stock cards, lot records and first-expire-first-out discipline.
Prepare distributions against approved beneficiary lists and documented programme criteria.
Use orderly collection points, community outreach or approved delivery routes that protect dignity.
Reconcile stock, costs and beneficiaries; record incidents; provide management, Board and partner reporting.
Year-One staffing may combine employees, consultants and trained volunteers according to funding and workload. Responsibilities remain separated enough to protect programme and financial controls.
Governance, policy oversight, major approvals and review of programme and financial reporting.
Annual plan, partner commitments, implementation supervision, escalation and performance review.
Day-to-day distribution calendar, warehouse coordination, volunteer deployment and service quality.
Referrals, verification, beneficiary records, consent, dignity standards, complaints and safeguarding.
Supplier sourcing, receiving, stock cards, lot/expiry tracking, storage and issue documentation.
Budget control, authorisations, restricted-fund tracking, reconciliations and partner-ready reporting.
Transport, venue readiness, queue management, dispatch, distribution support and close-out.
Output tracking, feedback, incident review, partner reports and improvement actions for the next cycle.
The budget is a programme planning model, not a supplier quotation. Procurement will be based on current market pricing, competitive sourcing and approved controls.
